Job summary

The Y Canberra Region is hiring a Part-Time OOSH Assistant Educator in Queanbeyan South to support learning through play. You will create engaging experiences for primary school‑aged children, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Ideal candidates have WWCC clearance (NSW), Food Safety, First Aid/CPR, and safeguarding knowledge, with willingness to obtain remaining certifications as needed. This role offers part-time hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to ongoing training and safeguarding children

We’re currently recruiting a Part-Time OOSH Assistant Educator for our Queanbeyan South OOSH who thrives in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

• Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Framework (NQF), and My Time, Our Place (desirable).

What We're Looking For

Availability to work split shifts:

• 7:00am – 9:00am
• 2:30pm – 6:00pm

• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance (NSW) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Do Food Safely certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Y Mandatory Internal Training - completion of all required organisational online learning modules prior to commencement.
• Geccko - Foundations of Child Safety Training Courses 1 & 2, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Geccko - Advanced Child Safety Training Courses 3 & 4, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• ACT Government - Keeping Children and Young People Safe training or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
