Job summary

ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee on-site health, safety and environmental compliance across a large-scale construction project in the Central West Orana region.

This bus-in, bus-out role provides camp-style accommodation on a 14 days on/7 days off roster, with employment potentially with ACJV or one of the parent companies, as confirmed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally including renewable energy projects and high-risk workplaces.
• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety, as a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Communicating HSE requirements on site.
• Assisting in monitoring day to day site activities to ensure safety compliance.
• Reporting any key issues to the site Safety Manager.
• Assisting incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel.
• Assisting in site consultation, such as toolbox talks and daily pre-start briefings.
• Participating in WHS audits.
• Leading by example by promoting a positive work health and safety culture.
