Job summary

Xefco is seeking a power supply electronics engineer to design, build and test high voltage power supplies for Ausora plasma coating systems at the Waurn Ponds Pilot Facility in Geelong. You will work with a multidisciplinary team onsite.

Reporting to the R&D Engineering Manager, the role covers HV AC/DC design up to 20 kV, prototyping, validation and documentation, with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance and moving designs toward production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
At least five years’ post-graduate experience designing, fabricating and testing power electronic systems.
Demonstrated experience developing high voltage AC and DC power supplies.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and optimise high voltage power electronic circuits and systems.
Produce designs meeting defined performance, reliability and efficiency requirements.
Use design and simulation tools to validate and refine designs before prototyping.
Fabricate functional, robust prototype devices and subsystems for application testing.
Select components and maintain the bill of materials, accounting for availability and lead time.
