Applied Sciences is seeking a Data Analyst 1 to join the team in Redmond, WA. This onsite role focuses on supporting OCR data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and maintaining datasets for AI model training.

Expect collaboration with engineers and applied scientists on data readiness and operational transparency. The position offers a structured 40-hour workweek with a clearly defined pay range and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on data analysis experience.
• Experience with data quality assurance and dataset management.
• Familiarity with dashboards, tools, and logs to monitor workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OCR pipelines, track queues, status, and batch performance.
• Review OCR outputs against source documents using sampling and quality criteria.
• Maintain metadata, inventories, and dataset versioning for model training.
• Manage Azure uploads/downloads of source files and datasets, ensure integrity.
• Coordinate reprocessing and escalate technical risks to engineers.
