Job summary

Tutero is recruiting tutors for online 1-on-1 sessions in Australia. Flexible hours with a focus on Year 11-12 subjects and STEM, with support for scheduling and lesson planning via our platform.

Ideal candidates are experienced tutors, teachers, or high-achieving students who can commit to at least 18 months and have 10 hours per week across 3+ days, including peak evening times.

Qualifications

• An experienced tutor or qualified teacher.
• University student or high-achieving recent graduate.
• Excellent communication with parents and students.
• Available at least 10 hours per week on 3+ days, including 4pm-8pm on weekdays.
• Hold a Working With Children Check or able to obtain one.
• Own reliable computer, high-speed internet, headset and microphone.
• Commitment to Tutero for at least 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Follow Tutero guidelines to ensure smooth tutoring experiences.
• Utilize Tutero software for scheduling and lesson planning.
• Support student progress and maintain parent communication.

Payment Range

You will earn between $34-50 per hour. The average Tutero tutor earns $39 per hour.

Tutors offering senior secondary (Year 11 & 12) subjects are currently in particularly high demand.

Your hourly compensation will increase over time as you gain experience.

Teachers, experienced tutors and high-achievers have a higher starting rate.

About You

An experienced tutor, qualified teacher, university student or a high-achieving recent high school graduate.

Exceptional communication skills for fostering strong parent and student relationships.

Able to follow basic processes and guidelines to ensure a smooth tutoring experience for students and parents.

At least 10 hours of availability per week, across 3+ days per week, including at least 8 hours during peak times (4pm-8pm on weekdays).

Hold a current Working With Children's Check (or able to get one)

Have access to a computer with high-speed internet, a headset and a microphone.

Able to work with Tutero for at least 18 months.
