Job summary

Department of Education WA invites applications for a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed-term roles, full-time and part-time, with vacancies arising in 2027. SIDE will support online and blended learning, with opportunities to teach Foundation to ATAR courses and adapt to diverse student needs across Western Australia.

Successful applicants will use data-informed instruction, collaborate in a dynamic team, and travel to regional sites as required.

Qualifications

• Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number.

Responsibilities

• Teach a mix of lower secondary and senior courses including Foundation, General, and ATAR courses.
• Develop online and blended learning materials responsive to diverse learners.
• Use diagnostic and performance data to inform teaching.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to support student success.
