Overview

Join us at the Australian Physiotherapy Association as our Online Community Coordinator in a part-time capacity, working four days a week. This role offers a contract duration of 12 to 24 months.

Melbourne-based candidates are preferred. This is a hybrid position with some days in the office and some days working from home. On office days, staff enjoy modern amenities and free secure undercover parking with easy access to public transport. When working from home, you will have quality equipment and services to support you.

About the role

As Online Community Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing member engagement and connectivity within our community. You will work within the Member Experience division to design, launch, and sustain a secure online platform that facilitates member collaboration, learning, and information sharing.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitor daily activity across the online community, ensuring discussions align with community guidelines and organisational values
  • Respond to member queries, escalate issues where appropriate, and foster respectful, constructive interactions
  • Collaborate with content contributors, subject matter experts and other APA teams to source, develop and share high-value posts, resources and discussions
  • Curate weekly/monthly content including highlights, discussion threads and member spotlights
  • Build engagement campaigns aligned with broader organisational goals, events and priorities
  • Welcome new members and connect them with relevant groups, content and peers
  • Monitor community health metrics and provide regular reports on engagement
  • Gather member feedback to refine community features and initiatives
  • Encourage collaboration and networking between members, recognising and celebrating contributions
  • Stay abreast of best practices in community management for continuous improvement
About you and selection criteria
