Job summary

Mildura Health Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Unit as Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). You will coordinate daily unit operations, provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and drive high standards of patient-centred care within a supportive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum three years' post-graduate experience in an acute setting.
• Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Up-to-date required immunisations.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Caring, empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate and supervise delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nurses across the oncology unit.
• Support staff development, education, competency and performance.
• Monitor patients, support clinical assessment and ensure effective handover.
• Act as escalation point for complex clinical situations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Hold accountability for the unit in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
