Job summary

MAP Co is seeking an on-site Venue Duty Manager to supervise events at Fed Square as part of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, reliable delivery of activities, with flexibility to cover early mornings, evenings and weekends.

The role requires hands-on experience with large venues, strong customer service and the ability to manage changing circumstances while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and solution-focused approach.
• Experience in outdoor events with a hands-on approach.
• Solid understanding of site plans and event timeline logistics.
• Ability to operate autonomously and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of OH&S regulations, risk and crowd control.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site venue and event supervision, adapting plans for crowd flow, access, and safety.
• Regularly patrol the precinct as supervising duty manager to ensure seamless event execution.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; prepare team documentation; use event planning software.
• Act as primary on-ground venue contact for stakeholders and support extended operations.
• Minimise impact on tenants through proactive on-ground communication.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S, site plans, and technical specs; assist with equipment tests and tagging.
