Job summary

Cleared Recruitment is seeking a SOC Analyst to join a high-performing Security Operations team in Canberra. The role focuses on monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats within mission-critical defence and intelligence networks.

Candidate must have experience with SIEM, incident response, and vulnerability management, with opportunities to engage in threat intelligence and collaboration with engineers, stakeholders, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2+ years' experience in cyber security operations, or
• 4+ years' experience in broader IT support, networking, cloud, endpoint, or gateway technologies
• Understanding of cyber security fundamentals
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and security tooling
• Scripting or coding experience highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and respond to cyber incidents
• Conduct threat detection, analysis, triage, and investigation activities
• Support vulnerability management processes and remediation efforts
• Contribute to Cyber Threat Intelligence activities
• Assist with SIEM, endpoint, network, and detection engineering initiatives
• Provide trusted cyber security advice to stakeholders
• Support the development of security operations requirements
• Participate in change reviews and security approvals
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external security stakeholders
• Contribute to the improvement of security operations processes, procedures, and reporting capabilities
