Client 1 in Canberra, ACT is seeking a SOC Analyst to join a high‑performing Security Operations team supporting mission‑critical defence and intelligence networks. The role involves monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats while maturing security operations capabilities.

The candidate will work closely with engineers, threat intel specialists and security authorities to protect sensitive environments and contribute to security governance and incident response

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cyber security operations or 4+ years in IT roles.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and security tooling.
• Desirable scripting or coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and respond to cyber incidents.
• Support SIEM, endpoint, network, and detection engineering initiatives.
• Contribute to Cyber Threat Intelligence activities.
• Provide trusted cyber security advice to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain security operations requirements and reporting.
