Job summary

Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking a Project Safety Manager to lead on-site safety programs on major construction projects in Australia. You will work directly with project teams to ensure safe outcomes, apply safety standards, conduct inspections, and support daily safety operations on site.

The role emphasizes practical risk control, incident investigations, toolbox talks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve an injury-free workplace and compliant project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Proven experience in safety management in building construction.
• Experience implementing safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and investigations.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership for safety program implementation and maintenance.
• Manage safety objectives and drive compliance with the Project Management Plan.
• Ensure site activities comply with regulations and company standards through inspections.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near misses with corrective actions.
• Identify risks and apply controls to maintain a safe workplace.
• Share lessons learned and implement practical safety improvements.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety workshops to project teams.
• Demonstrate commitment to a safe, injury-free site.
