Job summary

QinetiQ in Scotland is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to maintain site services and building equipment at the St Kilda facility. You will perform planned, preventive and reactive maintenance, supporting a range of mechanical systems and general handyman tasks.

The role operates on a 28 days on, 28 days off rotation with onsite accommodation provided. Candidates must be able to access Rangehead in South Uist or Kyle of Lochalsh for ferry/helicopter connections and be

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer with a mechanical bias.
• Experience in planned maintenance following SFG20 standards.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support (installations; planned, preventive & corrective maintenance) for site services, plant/equipment & buildings.
• Deliver specialist technical maintenance support & services for building plant/equipment.
• Prioritisation of the work programme to satisfy business needs.
• Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
• Ensure robust health, safety & environmental procedures & processes.
• Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work are to the required level.
