As a member of the Estates Delivery discipline within UK Defence Operations, the Maintenance Engineer role will be biased to a specialisation but will be expected to deliver Mechanical aspects of building services, undertaking pre-preventive maintenance, repair, and reactive tasks.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the maintenance and performance of all Mechanical elements for the site as well as general maintenance work such as landscaping, painting, building repairs and generic handyman duties.
This role is based onsite in St Kilda on a shift rotation of 28 days on and 28 days off. Accommodation is provided for the 28 days shift and the facility also come with Sky TV in each bedroom, WIFI, a gym, a small bar and recreation area as well as the outstanding wildlife. This is at zero cost to the candidate.
The successful candidate must be able to get to Rangehead in South Uist or the Kyle of Lochalsh for the connecting ferry or Helicopter to this remote island.

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our St Kilda facility. This role is 28 days on and 28 days off.
The St Kilda site provides crucial real-time tracking radar and telemetry data for complex weapons trials, missile tests, and joint military exercises (such as NATO training).
