Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Sydney is seeking a Casual Field Engineer to provide technical support for projects, commercial customers and in-service support functions.

Day-to-day duties include ensuring safety as a priority, travel to vessels or rigs for trials and field service, performing analyses, and producing set-to-work and service reports. Applicants should hold an electronics/electrical qualification and an Australian Defence NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• Hold an electronics/electrical qualification.
• First Aid certificate.
• Excellent analytical/diagnostic/problem solving skills.
• Field service experience in the marine sector.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Clearance to a NV1 level.
• Able to get DCAC and gain access to defence bases (HMAS Kuttabul and Waterhen).

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Safety is the primary consideration of all field engineering activities.
• Travel to customer vessels/rig as required for trials, field service, installations and operator training.
• Liaise with customer to investigate issues and analyze problems.
• Perform maintenance on equipment where required.
• Produce Set to Work testing reports.
• Produce service reports on all maintenance and service performed.
• Provide input for Factory Acceptance Test reports.
• Perform test procedures as directed.
• Travel may be required, but this role is primarily to cover the Sydney area for CN30 NDS

About the role
We are seeking a Field Engineer to join us on a casual basis to provide technical support for projects, commercial customers and in service support functions.

+ Produce service reports on all maintenance and service performed.
+ Provide input for Factory Acceptance Test reports.
+ Perform test procedures as directed.

To be successful in this role, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
