Job summary

TSMG Holding is seeking skilled High Voltage Power Transmission Line Workers specialized in stringing to join our team for remote project locations in Australia. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with 330kV+ transmission lines and safe stringing practices.

Ideal candidates will have 5–6 years of field experience, working at heights on towers, and relevant rigging/lifting certifications. Travel and adherence to safety standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing.
• Experience on 330kV+ projects is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Willingness to travel to remote project locations.
• Certification in rigging, lifting, or power transmission is an advantage.
• Having relevant City & Guild or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pay out, joint, clip, tension, sag, clamp, spacers, and jumper conductors per safety/quality standards.
• Operate and maintain stringing equipment (tensioners, pullers, winches).
• Install insulator strings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires as required.
• Work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles.
• Follow safety regulations, work procedures, and risk assessments.
• Familiar with safety devices like full-body harness, dual lanyards, lifelines.
• Coordinate with site supervisors/engineers to meet project timelines.
• Troubleshoot stringing operation issues.

Job Overview:

Malaysian-based EPCC company specializing in EHV solutions, is seeking skilled and experienced High Voltage Power Transmission Line Workers specializing in stringing works to join our team. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working on high-voltage transmission lines, particularly familiar with all stringing activities on 330kV and above.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines in compliance with safety and quality standards
• Able to operate and maintain stringing equipment, such as tensioners, pullers, and winches
• Ensure proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires as per project requirements
• Work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles
• Adhere to safety regulations, work procedures, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
• Familiar with all safety devices like full-body harness, double lanyard, fall protection system, lifelines, discharge wires, and discharge rods
• Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers to execute work as per project timelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to stringing operations

• Experience in 330kV and above is preferable
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices in transmission line construction
• Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions
• Working at Height certification is mandatory
• Certification in rigging, lifting, or power transmission is an advantage
