Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a hands-on Civil Construction Crew Leader to oversee projects across Narangba and surrounding sites. You will lead crews, coordinate daily on-site activities, and ensure safe, quality delivery on civil works such as road rehabilitation and drainage.

The role offers a 76-hour fortnight, four-day week, and a pathway to higher levels with stepped remuneration and a commuter vehicle upon meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• Current MR Class driver’s licence.
• Construction Induction Card.
• High Risk Work Dogging (DG) licence or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Electrical Awareness certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction or similar preferred (progression through Crew Leader Framework).

Responsibilities

• Undertaking general labouring duties on civil construction projects.
• Take the lead on site and coordinate daily activities.
• Direct internal and external work teams to support project delivery.
• Interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct survey set out and site measurements.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Construction Supervisor.
• Coordinate resources to support efficient delivery of works.
• Apply safety, quality and environmental risk management principles.
