Job summary

Coolibah Herbs, a proud Australian family-owned business, is seeking an OHS Advisor to strengthen safety across agricultural and manufacturing sites. You will investigate incidents, lead safety committees and coordinate emergency plans to protect staff and assets.

You will develop and deliver training, conduct audits, and maintain compliance records while engaging with regulators and internal teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably in agriculture or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards relevant to the agricultural sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents, accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and suggest corrective actions.
• Lead safety committees and meetings to discuss health and safety issues and develop action plans.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans including fire drills and first aid responses.
• Lead and coordinate safety training programs covering machinery, PPE, manual handling and chemical handling.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain records of safety training, inspections, incidents and corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry organisations to promote best practices.
• Collaborate with departments to foster a positive safety culture.
