Job summary

Shell is seeking a Mechanical Technician for offshore Prelude FLNG, based in Western Australia. The role focuses on safe, efficient maintenance aligned with quality standards, and requires Australian citizenship or permanent residency and WA-based relocation willingness.

Key responsibilities include safety compliance, PTW/LOTO adherence, daily work order updates, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to maximize asset availability and minimize cost.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience in oil & gas industry preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety rules and comply with PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Self-manage Front Line Barrier Management competencies and safety critical roles.
• Attend job start meetings and daily task briefings for continuous improvement.
• Coach peers to follow AMS processes for safe, efficient asset care.
• Ensure materials are returned to the warehouse and work orders are updated.
