Job summary

Metro North Health is offering an Occupational Therapy Cadet position in Brisbane, Australia. This role supports experienced therapists by delivering delegated clinical assessments and treatment activities while you complete your tertiary studies.

You will assist with patient education, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and help maintain clinical documentation, contributing to quality improvement and service enhancements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a recognised Occupational Therapy degree or diploma.
• Willingness to learn and apply clinical skills under supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Occupational Therapists by delivering delegated clinical assessment and treatment activities within an approved scope of practice.
• Assist with patient education and provide support to patients, families and carers to achieve health and rehabilitation goals.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, activity data and medical records in line with departmental requirements.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, professional development activities and ongoing service enhancement projects.
