Job summary

MediRecruit is seeking a flexible Occupational Therapist for a hybrid role covering Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast QLD. You will work across Community OT, Rehabilitation Consulting and Return to Work, with a path for new graduates through to experienced OTs.

You’ll be supported to develop new practice areas, with a 2026 Graduate program offering mentoring and progressive exposure. A structured, evolving role awaits.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered (or eligible) Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional assessments across home, workplace and community environments.
• Assess occupational performance, independence and participation across the lifespan.
• Develop goal-directed intervention plans addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial and environmental barriers.
• Prescribe Assistive Technology and complete complex equipment assessments.
• Conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations and work capacity assessments.
• Develop Graduated Return to Work Programs and suitable duties plans.
• Prepare medicolegal reports, functional assessments and independent opinions.
• Liaise with employers, insurers, practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Navigate funding systems (NDIS, WorkCover, CTP, Medicare, DVA, My Aged Care, private insurers).
• Participate in service development, innovation and clinical quality improvement.

Occupational Therapist - Hybrid - Brisbane QLD

About the Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time position with a progressive multidisciplinary allied health organisation delivering services throughout Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast QLD. Rather than working within a single service area, you will have the opportunity to develop across three highly rewarding areas of practice: Community Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Consulting and Return to Work, and Medicolegal Occupational Therapy and Functional Assessments.

The balance is tailored to your experience, confidence and career goals. Whether you are a new graduate looking to build broad clinical experience or an experienced OT wanting to diversify, your caseload will reflect your interests with structured support to develop new practice areas over time. A structured 2026 New Graduate Program with mentoring and progressive exposure across all three areas is also available.

• Participate in ongoing service development, innovation and clinical quality improvement

• $90,000 to $110,000 per annum + superannuation
• 43 to 45% commission in addition to your base salary
