Job summary

CARED is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Telehealth & Community program across Australia. This hybrid role combines telehealth from your home with face-to-face community sessions as needed.

You’ll assess, treat, and support clients including neurological conditions, paediatric and adult clients, with NDIS participants and online therapy. You’ll work as an independent contractor with flexible hours and a practitioner-first approach.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional post-graduate experience.
• AHPRA registration.
• Experience working with NDIS participants/people with a disability.
• Experience providing online therapy/telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assessments and ongoing therapy via telehealth and community sessions.
• Provide duties matching client experience and interests, with flexible scheduling.
• Communicate progress and outcomes across client caseload.

About the role (where your magic comes in)

We’re looking for experienced Occupational Therapists who bring both clinical excellence and genuine heart.

These are hybrid roles - combine telehealth from your home (or private professional space) with community-based, face-to-face support where needed.

You’ll work with a diverse and meaningful caseload, including clients with:

• Ongoing therapeutic intervention

• Progressive neurological conditions (MS, Parkinson’s)

• Paediatric and adult clients across different life stages

• Neurodiverse clients (autism, ADHD)

• Psychosocial, intellectual and physical disabilities

We receive referrals for assessments, reports, and ongoing intervention, and we take the time to match you with clients aligned to your experience, interests and preferred demographics.

You’ll bring:

• Ideally, you have at least 3 years of professional post-graduate experience

• AHPRA registration

• Experience working with NDIS participants / people with a disability

• Experience providing online therapy / telehealth

And, as an Independent Contractor with CARED, you’ll need:

• Capacity to provide assessments & ongoing therapy. This is not an assessment only role UNLESS you have the specialisations listed above

• A private, professional workspace with reliable internet, camera & mic

• Australian Business Number - ABN

• Appropriate business insurances (Professional Indemnity – PI, and Public liability - PL)

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried or full-time employment position.

Our role is to connect practitioners with clients and participants who require allied health services. We provide referrals that can help you grow and supplement your existing private practice, rather than guaranteeing a fixed caseload or income.
