Creative Therapy Village in Melbourne’s western growth corridor seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary team on a subcontractor basis (minimum 4 days/week). The practice delivers trauma-informed, neuro-affirming care across a sensory-rich facility with 6 rooms and a mobile community presence.

Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist

Creative Therapy Village – Hoppers Crossing VIC

Creative Therapy Village is seeking an experienced, passionate, and values-aligned Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary team on a subcontractor basis (minimum 4 days per week). The practice provides authentic, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming care within a supportive, creative environment with 6 therapy rooms including a fully equipped sensory gym. You will hold an immediate caseload supporting children, young people, and their families aged 2 to 18 years, delivering sessions in the dedicated Hoppers Crossing practice and in the community- in kinders, schools, community centres or home-based visits when clinically indicated.

Key responsibilities

Deliver discipline-specific assessments and evidence-based interventions

for OTs: sensory profiling, functional capacity, sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and activities of daily living;

for Speech Pathologists: speech, language, pragmatics, and multimodal communication assessments, neuro-affirming social communication, language development, and AAC implementation)

Support identity exploration, regulation, and functional independence within a neuro-affirming framework

Connect authentically with older neurodivergent youth and teenagers presenting with psychosocial profiles

Complete comprehensive functional reports, progress summaries, and funding evaluations within realistic timelines

Partner with families, educators, and in-house team members to ensure seamless, holistic multidisciplinary care

For OTs: Demonstrate interest and insight into supporting adolescents navigating executive functioning differences, identity, communication, sensory needs, and self-advocacy

About you

Occupational Therapist: Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Speech Pathologist: Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Occupational Therapist: Current general registration with AHPRA

Speech Pathologist: Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)

Solid experience in paediatric assessment and intervention with sound clinical reasoning and confidence in independent caseload management

Demonstrated clinical interest and comfort working alongside neurodivergent teens and young adults with psychosocial complexities

Deep commitment to neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally safe, and family-centred practice

Valid Australian Business Number (ABN) and appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance

Valid Employment Working with Children Check (WWCC)

National Police Check (completed prior to commencement and renewed every three years), and International Police Check if applicable
