Job summary

Nurtured Potential in the Sutherland Shire is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our mobile paediatric/young adult practice. You’ll take over an established caseload with a mix of home, school and community sessions, and have the flexibility to shape your clinical work around your strengths, while enjoying autonomy and strong collaborative support from families and schools.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, with travel between client sites and notes/reports

Qualifications

• Experienced Occupational Therapist with paediatric/young adult experience.
• NDIS setting experience preferred.
• Able to work independently across home, school and community environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families, schools and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessment and ongoing support to paediatric clients and young adults.
• Manage an established caseload across home, school and community settings.
• Option to complete Functional Capacity Assessments if desired.
• Complete progress reports and other clinical documentation as required.
• Develop individualized goals and therapy plans with clients and families.
• Collaborate with families, educators and other professionals involved in care.
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and records.
• Manage your caseload with autonomy and flexibility.

Nurtured Potential is a small, values-driven Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology practice supporting children, teens and young adults across the Sutherland Shire, Georges River and surrounding areas. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based and relationship-focused, with a strong emphasis on supporting clients in the environments where they live, learn and participate. We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing mobile practice.

This role offers the opportunity to step into an established caseload, with a mix of ongoing clients and new referrals, while having the flexibility and autonomy to shape your clinical work around your own strengths and interests.

The role would suit an OT who values flexibility, autonomy and genuine work-life balance, and who enjoys working collaboratively with families, schools and other members of a client's support team.

With the Director commencing maternity leave, there is an opportunity for the successful OT to take over an established paediatric/young adult caseload, with scope to grow the role over time if desired.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and ongoing support to paediatric clients and young adults
• Manage an established caseload across home, school and community settings
• Option to complete Functional Capacity Assessments if desired
• Complete other clinical reports such as progress reports, as required
• Develop meaningful, individualised goals and therapy plans in collaboration with clients and their families/support teams
• Work collaboratively with families, educators and other professionals involved in each client's carel>
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and records
• Manage your clinical caseload with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility

About you

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who:

• Has experience working with children and/or young people, ideally within an NDIS setting
• Is confident working independently across home, school and community environments
• Takes a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to practice
• Is confident communicating and collaborating with families, schools and other professionals
• Is organised and able to manage their own caseload
• Values autonomy while also enjoying being part of a supportive team
• Has a current driver's licence and reliable access to their own vehicle
