Job summary

IPAR is seeking Occupational Therapists to join our Canberra-based team within the national rehabilitation network. You will work in a warm, collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary group of professionals dedicated to achieving meaningful outcomes for clients living with illness, disability or injury.

New graduates are welcome. The role offers hands-on learning, a supportive culture, and opportunities to advance within the MedHealth network across locations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is valued but not required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy.
• Valid driver's license and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Case management with available Rehabilitation Assistants to support administrative tasks.
• Assist clients to achieve return-to-work and return-to-health outcomes.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers to align rehabilitation goals.
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare & DVA.
• Conduct ADL assessments to evaluate functional abilities and needs; recommend equipment or home modifications.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports with findings and recommendations.
