My Home OT is a growing occupational therapy practice supporting NDIS participants across Greater Sydney. OTs work in homes, schools and communities to build independence.
We welcome new grads and experienced OTs, with salary tailored to experience. The role offers a varied caseload across paediatrics, aged care, assistive technology and home modifications, with structured supervision initially.
My Home OT is a growing occupational therapy practice supporting NDIS participants across Greater Sydney. We work in people’s homes, schools and communities, because that is where independence is built.
Our OTs work across a genuinely varied caseload, including aged care, paediatrics, complex disability, assistive technology prescription, home modifications and functional capacity assessments. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists, support coordinators and other providers to deliver coordinated, person centred support for every participant.
Due to growing demand, we are expanding our OT team and are looking for a full time Occupational Therapist to join us.
Who we are looking for
We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced OTs. The role and salary are tailored to your experience.
New graduates and early career OTs start at the lower end of the salary range, with weekly structured supervision, joint visits during your first months, a reduced caseload while you build confidence, and close guidance on NDIS report writing.
Experienced OTs start at the upper end of the salary range, with greater autonomy over caseload and clinical direction, regular supervision, and the opportunity to mentor junior clinicians and students.
What you will do
Complete comprehensive assessments of participants’ physical, cognitive, sensory and psychosocial function, including functional capacity, home environment and assistive technology assessments
Develop goal focused therapy plans and deliver evidence based intervention in the home and community
Prescribe and trial assistive technology and recommend home modifications
Write clear, well evidenced NDIS reports, including functional capacity assessments, AT and home modification reports, progress reports and supporting letters
Educate participants, families and support workers on strategies, equipment and techniques that build independence
Collaborate with support coordinators, behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists and other providers
Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets professional and NDIS requirements
What we offer
Salary of $90,000 to $110,000 plus super, based on experience
Billable hours target of 36 per week, with a gradual ramp up
Hybrid work: community visits across Greater Sydney, with admin and report writing from home
Company laptop provided
A structured referral to discharge service pathway, report templates and practice management software, so you spend your time on clinical work rather than reinventing processes
Allied health assistant support for suitable therapy programs
A varied caseload across paediatrics, adults and aged care, with the chance to build expertise in AT, home modifications and functional capacity assessments
A supportive, close knit team that values learning, feedback and backing each other
About you
A degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Master)
Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for registration if you are a new graduate
Experience in the NDIS or community settings (clinical placement experience counts)
Strong written communication skills and an interest in, or experience with, NDIS report writing
Ability to work independently in the community while staying connected with the team
Warm, clear communication with participants, families and other professionals
