Job summary

Bayside Health (Peninsula Health Care Group) is seeking a casual occupational therapist or physiotherapist to join the Hand Therapy Service in Frankston. You will deliver hand therapy assessments and interventions across outpatient and inpatient settings, working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

The role involves supervising other staff, supporting education for Grade 1 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor or tertiary equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
• Eligibility for membership to OT Australia / APA or AHTA.
• Ability to supervise other staff to promote professional competence.
• Competency in splinting and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand therapy assessments and interventions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Deliver person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support development of Grade 1 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.

The Team & Role

Join our Hand Therapy Service as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist and work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team providing person-centred care for individuals experiencing hand trauma, acute injuries and degenerative upper limb conditions. In this specialised role, you will deliver comprehensive assessments and hand therapy interventions across outpatient and inpatient settings, while collaborating with patients, colleagues and the broader healthcare team. You will also support the development of Grade 1 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants, contributing to a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and service excellence.

Skills & Experience Required

• Bachelor or tertiary equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapyor Physiotherapy
• Ability to supervise other staff to promote professional competence asrequired
• Demonstrated competency in all aspectsof splinting and wound care.
• Eligibility for membership to Occupational Therapy Australia / Australian Physiotherapy Association or Australian Hand Therapy Association
