Occupational Therapist – Primarily Paediatrics | Supportive Multidisciplinary Team
At Whole Family Health, we believe that helping children and families reach their goals starts with giving therapists the time, support and freedom to do their best work.
We're a family-owned, multidisciplinary allied health clinic in St Marys, Western Sydney. We primarily work with children and families living with disability, combining evidence-informed therapy with practical strategies that make everyday life easier.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys collaborating with other disciplines, values strong relationships with families, and wants to keep growing as a clinician.
Whether you're an experienced therapist looking for a change or a new graduate starting your career, we'd love to hear from you.
Why work with us?
Genuine multidisciplinary teamwork
Our team offers Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music Therapy, Counselling and Behaviour Support. Physiotherapy for dogs, cats and wildlife is also offered on-site.
At Whole Family Health, we don't just work alongside each other — we share ideas, problem-solve together and collaborate to help families achieve meaningful outcomes.
A structured approach to therapy
We use a block-based therapy model that incorporates goal-setting, regular intervention and outcome reviews.
This helps keep therapy focused on meaningful progress, gives families a clear understanding of what we're working towards, and creates opportunities for therapists to reflect on what's working.
Time to do your job properly
We recognise that great therapy involves much more than face-to-face appointments.
Clinical reasoning, documentation, collaboration, family communication and professional development are all important parts of providing quality care.
We aim to create realistic workloads that support both clinical quality and therapist wellbeing.
Support to develop your career
We value curiosity, reflective practice and continuing professional development.
You'll have access to mentoring and supervision, professional development funding, study leave and opportunities to learn from colleagues across different disciplines.
We welcome new graduates and experienced clinicians alike.
Flexibility that works for everyone
We offer full-time and part-time opportunities and are happy to discuss working arrangements that balance your needs with those of our clients and team.
Hybrid working arrangements may be available where appropriate, following initial training and induction.
A workplace where people matter
We're a small, family-owned clinic, and our lived experience of disability shapes how we work with families.
We value kindness, humour, honesty, teamwork and treating people as individuals — including our staff.
We want our therapists to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and being themselves.
What will you be doing?
You'll be working primarily with children and their families, providing assessment and intervention to support participation in everyday activities, including self-care, play, sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor development and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Completing assessments and developing practical, individualised intervention plans.
Working collaboratively with children, families and their support networks to identify meaningful goals.
Delivering evidence-informed, neuroaffirming therapy.
Supporting parents and carers to develop strategies they can use in everyday life.
Collaborating with colleagues across our multidisciplinary team.
Monitoring progress and communicating outcomes clearly.
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participating in supervision, team discussions and professional development.
We encourage therapists to develop their clinical interests and contribute ideas that improve how we support families.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who:
Has a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Is eligible for or already has unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Enjoys working with children and families.
Values evidence-informed, family-centred and neuroaffirming practice.
Communicates clearly and enjoys working collaboratively.
Is organised, reflective and committed to maintaining high professional standards.
Is open to learning, sharing knowledge and developing their clinical skills.
New graduates are encouraged to apply. We value attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn alongside clinical experience.
