Job summary

Ability Action Australia & MedHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region, with flexible hours and a home-friendly setup. The role focuses on delivering timely therapeutic services, assessments and goals tailored to each participant, in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.
