Job summary

Early Start Australia in Hindmarsh is offering an Occupational Therapy Graduate position. You will guide children toward independence through evidence-based therapy, with a multidisciplinary team supporting holistic outcomes for families and schools.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or due to graduate in early 2027, with an OT degree and AHPRA eligibility. A vehicle and WWVP, Police Check, and First Aid/CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for AHPRA registration.
• Graduating in early 2027 or recently graduated.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle with third-party insurance preferred.
• WWVP registration or willingness to obtain it.
• Police Check or willingness to obtain it.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and families.

Responsibilities

• Help children achieve developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, self-care, and school readiness.
• Support children to develop independence with everyday activities such as dressing, feeding, toileting, bathing, and personal care.
• Educate and empower parents, carers, teachers, and support networks to continue skill development beyond therapy sessions.
• Help children develop emotional regulation and positive behavioural strategies across home, school, and community environments.
• Create meaningful therapy plans tailored to each child's goals and strengths.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and outcomes for children and families.
• Celebrate achievements, from small daily wins to major milestones.
