Job summary

Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) is seeking an early career Occupational Therapist to join the team in Murray Bridge. You will work under supervision of an AHP2 OT and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-centred care across paediatrics, acute, residential, aged and community settings.

Working under the supervision of an experienced AHP2 Occupational Therapist, you’ll collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, client-centred care across paediatrics, acute, residential, aged and community settings. What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia/AHPRA, with eligibility to practise as an Occupational Therapist in South Australia and meet all relevant SA Health employment requirements
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills to provide safe, high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention across a diverse range of presentations, including paediatric developmental conditions, autism, sensory disorders and adult health needs
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver client-centred, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services, including individual and group therapy, health promotion, prevention, education and early intervention, including within NDIS and community settings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise a clinical caseload, work under clinical supervision, exercise professional judgement within scope of practice, and seek guidance appropriately for complex clinical presentations
  • Demonstrated effective communication, teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, colleagues and external service providers while promoting cultural safety and meaningful client participation
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and service excellence, including accurate clinical documentation, reflective practice, participation in professional development, evaluation and research activities, and compliance with relevant policies, procedures and ethical standards

  • Relevant professional experience and clinical skills, including client-centred practice, problem solving, adaptability, service development and application of primary health care principles
  • Strong communication, teamwork and client engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse health professionals, service providers and communities while maintaining confidentiality, cultural competency and client rights
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement, including reflective practice, quality improvement, service evaluation, research and contributing to the ongoing development of services
