Job summary

MediRecruit is seeking a passionate Community Occupational Therapist to join a growing allied health team in Maroochydore, QLD. This mobile role focuses on improving independence and quality of life for clients in their homes and communities.

Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements are available Monday to Friday. Applicants with 1–2 years’ experience and current AHPRA registration are encouraged to apply, with opportunities across NDIS, DVA and private funding streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience (preferred).
• NDIS experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Blue Card / Working with Children Check or eligible to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Complete functional assessments and ADL support.
• Deliver capacity building programs in home and community settings.
• Prescribe home modifications and assistive technology.
• Provide neurorehabilitation for stroke, ABI, cerebral palsy and progressive conditions.
• Coordinate care and advocate for clients across NDIS, Aged Care, DVA and other funding streams.
• Collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Community Occupational Therapist to join a growing multidisciplinary allied health team in Maroochydore, QLD. In this mobile community role, you will help clients improve independence, function and quality of life within their own homes and communities, working across a diverse caseload spanning NDIS, Support at Home (formerly HCP), DVA, Private Health and WorkCover. Flexible full-time or part-time hours are available Monday to Friday, and both early-career and experienced OTs are encouraged to apply.

• Complete functional assessments and ADL support

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance
• Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience (preferred)
• Community or NDIS experience (highly regarded but not essential)
• Strong communication skills and a genuine people-focused approach
• Self-motivated with initiative and a collaborative team approach
• Valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or eligible to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain)
• Eligible to work in Australia
