Job summary

Queensland Government invites applications for an Occupational Therapist at the Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit in Townsville. You will perform occupational therapy assessments, deliver treatments and interventions for people with acute psychiatric symptoms, and work with consumers, carers and the MDT to promote dignity and recovery.

The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a modern 36-bed facility at Townsville University Hospital providing acute assessment, diagnosis and treatment for people experiencing mental health disorders.

Competitive salary and benefits:

• Salary range: $3067.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)
• 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14% - 17.5% loading

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and proof of registration (if applicable).
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
• Probation period may apply.
