Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Nowra region, with flexible hours and a mix of home, community visits, and clinic spaces.

You will manage caseloads, perform assessments, and develop individualized goals, delivering evidence-based interventions. AHPRA registration and a passion for community-based disability support are essential. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Time management and organisational skills to manage varied caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated caseload based on negotiated hours and deliver timely therapeutic services.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Nowra region, depending on where you're based!

In this role you will:
  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
  • Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
  • Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload
