Qualifications

In this role, you will work with patients to improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical and mental capabilities.
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding therapy techniques and home exercises.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to improve daily living skills.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with relevant legislation and ethical standards.
• Able to meet reporting deadlines as required by the organisation;
• Experience in NDIS, Forensics, DVA and Aged Care very desirable

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation or community health.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of current best practices in occupational therapy and patient care.
