Job description

If you are a passionate Occupational Therapist who wants to help transform lives through excellence and person-centred NDIS allied health services, then you will love working at ORS.

Due to ORS’ continued growth, the Occupational Therapy team is in need of our next superstar to join the team!

You will get to work alongside 120+ other dedicated Occupational Therapists in our NDIS division performing clinical services to participants aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disability types. More importantly, you will also get to work with an amazing group of clients, playing an integral part in their personal growth and development.

The types of assessments and interventions that you will complete include:

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL) Assessments
  • Sensory Assessments
  • Assistive Technology (AT) Assessments
  • Home Modifications Assessments (including complex)
  • Functional Daily Living Skills Assessments
  • Environmental Risk Assessments
  • Skill building and ongoing therapy

You will work across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, community, and/or ORS clinics.

Graduate Programs:

If you have recently graduated or are within your first 12 months of experience, you will be eligible to participate in ORS’ six-month tailored new graduate program. This includes reduced client hours, an allocated supervisor, weekly mentoring, graduate-specific training, and opportunities to network with other new graduates and senior practitioners across Australia. Many of our leaders started with ORS in our Graduate Program!

Whether that be regional or interstate secondments, people management, specialisation in a particular interest area such as paediatrics, home modifications, or mental health, and opportunities to try other clinical disciplines such as Positive Behaviour Support or Rehabilitation Consulting. The opportunities are endless and extensive! You will work closely with your Manager and Learning & Development Manager to create a plan to achieve these goals.

A few requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration or ability to become registered with AHPRA
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client-facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
