Job summary

Life Solutions OT is seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join as an independent subcontractor across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW region. This is a genuinely flexible mobile role you can shape around your lifestyle, choosing referrals and areas you service.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced occupational therapist to join us as an independent subcontractor across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW region. This is a genuinely flexible mobile role that can be built around your lifestyle. You choose the referrals you accept, so you have real control over the clients you see, the areas you service and the days you work. You'll step into an established referral network with consistent referral streams, and we'll build a caseload that suits your availability and the area of practice you know and enjoy.

Our existing caseload spans:

Functional Capacity Assessments and report writing

Home modifications

Assistive technology assessment, trial and prescription

Wheelchair and seating assessments

Capacity building and daily living skills

Manual handling plans and carer training

The arrangement

This is a subcontractor position. You'll operate under your own ABN and be paid in line with our subcontractor agreement:

$90 - $120 per hour for face-to-face services and non face-to-face work including report writing and clinical documentation

$50 per hour for NDIS travel time

You’ll work closely with our Founder and Principal OT, Alex. This role suits an OT who's confident practising autonomously within their own area, with Alex and the team there for support and collaboration.

About you

AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)

Demonstrated experience delivering occupational therapy in a community NDIS setting

Registered for an ABN (or willing to obtain one) and able to invoice as an independent subcontractor

Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

Strong skills in assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing

Confidence managing an NDIS community caseload independently within your area of practice

Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Current (or willingness to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR

Previous mobile or in-home occupational therapy experience

A clear focus on the area of practice or client population you want to work with, for example paediatrics or adults
