Job summary

Mater Mothers' Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland, is offering a 12-month Specialist opportunity for a new FRANZCOG Fellow in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2027, with a path to independent practice within a supportive team.

The role provides exposure to tertiary obstetrics, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and a co-located private practice model, with flexible hours to accommodate private commitments and a potential large private practice retainer.

Qualifications

• FRANZCOG fellowship or eligibility required.
• New FRANZCOG Fellow seeking independent practice in a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Provide tertiary-level antenatal and intrapartum care.
• Manage complex obstetric presentations.
• Participate in operating lists within Brisbane's busy general gynaecology service.
• Develop private practice through Mater's established private practice model.
• Work with experienced Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
• Collaborate with medical, midwifery and allied health professionals.
• Teach and supervise junior doctors.
• Contribute to clinical audit, research and quality improvement.
• Engage in risk management and administrative activities.
