Job summary

Babcock International Group in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Aircrew Officer for a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2027, supporting SA Ambulance Service and SAPOL. The role is based in Adelaide with a preference for a fixed-base candidate; touring will be considered.

You will conduct safe flight operations under CASA and contract policies, perform pre/post-flight documentation, conduct EMS, SAR and police operations, manage flight data and maintain equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Airborne Operations or equivalent.
• Minimum 500 hours rotary wing Aircrew Officer experience.
• Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Current Senior First Aid (HLTAID011) and Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015).
• Current HUET with EBS; ASIC (red).
• Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC).
• Dangerous Goods Awareness or Dangerous Goods Pack and Accept.
• B412/H145 experience; HEMS experience; NVIS hoisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe flight operations complying with CASA, contractual and company policies and procedures.
• Report promptly on all operations and maintenance deficiencies.
• Complete pre-flight and post-flight documentation.
• Conduct helicopter EMS, Search and Rescue and SA Police Operations.
• Provide accurate visual observation and information to the Pilot of flight relevant data including clearances, personnel movements and flight safety related issues.
• Maintain continuous and immediate readiness of operational role equipment.
• Employ and install role equipment.
• Operate rescue hoist and associated equipment IAW Babcock Operations Manual.
• Perform duties in the Front Left Seat (FLS) and using Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS);
• Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight husbandry.
• Ensure security and safe configuration of cabin and equipment; and
• Other tasks as designated by the Senior Base ACO or Chief Aircrew Officer
