Job summary

Lab3 Pty Ltd in Australia seeks a Principal Engineer- Cloud & DevOps to lead end-to-end Azure platform initiatives, design secure scalable solutions, and drive IaC and CI/CD practices.

Based anywhere in Australia (Canberra preferred), with NV1 AGSVA clearance, you will mentor engineers, guide architecture, and collaborate with delivery leaders on risk and planning. The role supports flexible remote/hybrid work and focuses on high-impact cloud engineering.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Azure and DevOps expertise with IaC focus.
• Experience designing secure, scalable Azure solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Azure platform and automation initiatives.
• Design, document and implement secure, scalable Azure solutions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep.
• Provision and manage AKS environments and Helm charts.
• Act as trusted technical advisor across engagements.
• Translate complex concepts for executives.
• Produce engineering artefacts and governance records.
• Partner with delivery on estimation, planning and risk.
