Only About Children Bridgeman Downs is seeking a Cook to join our campus team, responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0 to 5. You will manage allergy considerations and maintain high food-safety standards to support daily routines and wellbeing.

You’ll work with educators and families to create positive mealtime experiences, ensure dietary needs are met, and contribute to a caring, nourished learning environment in a vibrant early-learning campus.

Qualifications

• Experience with bulk meal preparation for 50+ daily.
• Knowledge of nutrition for children aged 0 to 5.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, allergies and dietary requirements.
• Current Working with Children Check and relevant child protection clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist with fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0 to 5.
• Adapt meals for allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements and individual child needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen in line with the Campus Food Safety Plan.
• Clearly manage and label allergy and intolerance variations to support safe food service.
• Order, receive, store and rotate food safely, supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.
• Work with educators and families to support children's food routines, preferences and wellbeing.
• Help create positive, calm and inclusive mealtime experiences for children.
