Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a dedicated educator for St Agatha’s Primary School, Clayfield, to cover Terms 1 and 2, 2027 on a maternity leave contract. The role is 30 hours per fortnight (5 day fortnight) with a supportive school culture focused on quality learning, student wellbeing and Catholic values.

The successful candidate will create a learner-centred classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum and be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Qualifications

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment aligned with the Australian Curriculum
• Designing and delivering curriculum programs that meet Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Engaging with colleagues, students and parents to enrich learning outcomes
• Supporting students' spiritual and moral development as part of Catholic education

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment focused on learner needs and aligned with curriculum policies
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs; evaluate effectiveness and report progress to students, parents and community
• Work with leadership, teachers and staff to contribute to school life and foster a positive school culture
• Pursue professional learning to enhance student outcomes
• Establish positive pastoral care relationships and support students' spiritual development
• Ensure that Catholic teachings and values form the foundation for learning and teaching
