Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a temporary full-time Teacher of Nursing to deliver and assess training across the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and Diploma of Nursing at Shellharbour and Moss Vale campuses. This role runs from January 2027 until May 2027, with travel between campuses as required.

You will support students to build practical skills and industry-ready capability, delivering educational programs and facilitating learning as a professional educator.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor of Nursing (minimum) with a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
• Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET).
• Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training across the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and Diploma of Nursing, supporting students to build practical skills and industry-ready capability.
• The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process.
• Deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their best outcomes.
