Calvary Mater Newcastle seeks an Assistant in Nursing to help provide care and comfort to patients across diverse clinical settings, under the guidance of Registered Nurses.

The role requires enrollment in nursing studies or a nursing qualification, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. On-site position with salary packaging options and entitlements offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing degree or Diploma of Nursing; Certificate III in Health Services Assistance acceptable.
• Transcripts must be provided.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Report patient observations to the Registered Nurse.
• Support nursing team in delivering care in acute care settings as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Provide direct care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
