Job description

Coolart Nursery is a family garden centre that has been operating for over 25 years. Our specialty is providing a large range of plants at a very affordable price. To achieve this we grow a range of plants ourselves to offer them to our customers at wholesale prices. To compliment this we buy in a large variety of plants from around Australia to extend our range and offer our customers a broad range of plants and accessories.

In essence we are looking for someone who can confidently handle the front of shop and when time permits multitask with other parts of the nursery. Potential for the right person to grow with the business, into a highly rewarding full time position.

Qualifications & Experience

Horticultural qualifications preferred and importantly some experience working in garden centres. Must be confident dealing with customers, and answering general gardening questions. Be able to assist with plant selection, design and plant health problems.

Tasks & Responsibilities

General nursery work, including plant maintenance, watering, customer service, plant displays and pricing. Looking for someone enthusiastic, friendly, trustworthy and self-motivated.

Responsibilities also include:

• Organising, pricing and displaying gift lines and pots
• Up to date with plant trends, but more importantly have a passion for plants
• Computer and Social media savvy, with tasks including website and Facebook updates
