Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 (NUM2) to lead the A61 Respiratory Unit at Campbelltown Hospital. You’ll drive safe, patient-centred care and manage day‑to‑day operations, staffing, and budget considerations in a dynamic clinical setting.

You’ll bring proven leadership of nursing teams, capability in workforce planning and change management, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Experience leading a nursing team and managing staffing and operational demands.
Strong communication and leadership to engage multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Respiratory ward.
Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Support and develop nursing staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Collaborate with medical, allied health, and executive teams to deliver integrated care.
Manage resources effectively, including workforce planning and budget oversight.
