Job summary

Grampians Health’s Horsham Emergency Department invites applications for Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). The NUM will provide leadership and management to the multidisciplinary Emergency team, with a focus on growing and enhancing services across the Grampians Health network.

The successful candidate will lead quality improvement, safety, education and development of staff while promoting a culture of innovation and patient-centered care within a supportive, collaborative environment.

• 2-3 years leadership and people management experience.
• The ability to identify, engage and influence key stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
• Strategic focus on business and unit objectives.
• A quality and risk focused approach to decision making.
• Post graduate qualifications in management or working towards same (desirable).

An exciting opportunity exists to join our Emergency team as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of the Emergency Department located at our Horsham Campus. The NUM will be responsible for providing sound inspiration, leadership and management to the Emergency services multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on the growth and enhancement of Emergency services within the Grampians Health network. The Emergencyteam at Grampians Health have a well-deserved and strong reputation for innovation providing evidence-based care for our patients located across Western Victoria.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (NM10 - NM12) which ranges from $69.38 - $74.45 per hour
