Job summary

SA Health's Yorke and Northern Local Health Network invites applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager at Burra Hospital. This full-time, temporary contract role supports clinical leadership and delivery of high‑quality nursing care, mentoring staff and coordinating day‑to‑day service delivery.

You will lead nursing teams, manage performance, rostering and financial planning under the Nurse Unit Manager, contributing to continuous improvement and patient safety within a rural health

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, with a practising certificate.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with our team.
• Assisting in the implementation of practice changes under the guidance of our Nurse Unit Manager.
• Providing leadership of nursing/midwives in the health service in support of the Nurse Unit Manager.
• Undertaking management responsibilities such as performance management, recruitment, rostering, and financial planning.
