SA Health in Wallaroo is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager – Acute to provide clinical and operational leadership across an acute care service. You will lead delivery of safe, high-quality, person- and family-centred care while supporting staff performance, development and evidence-based practice.

The role requires NMBA registration, 3+ years of post-registration nursing or midwifery experience, and strong change management and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current or eligible practicing certificate.
• At least 3 years' post-registration nursing and/or midwifery experience.
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and delivering person and family-centred care.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and contribute to quality improvement.
• Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other relevant computer systems.

You'll lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, person and family-centred care, ensuring continuity of care and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. You'll support staff performance and development, use contemporary evidence to inform practice, and contribute to quality improvement, education, research and changes to models of care.

About You
