Job summary

Genea Heidelberg clinic is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team as Nurse Unit Manager on a full-time basis. The role blends frontline patient care with leadership in an office-based setting, interacting with patients by phone and in person.

You will lead clinical activities, coordinate with doctors, provide IVF drug administration instructions, and maintain records to support excellent patient education and care.

Qualifications

• Experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills.
• Fertility experience ideal but not essential; leadership or senior role in a team preferred.
• Strong people skills and ability to support and educate patients.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our Heidelberg clinic on a full time basis working as a Nurse Unit Manager

Genea Nurses provide frontline care to our patients, supporting them along every step of their Fertility treatment. This role is unique, you be working in an office environment interacting with our patients both over the phone and face to face. Alongside clinical duties, a significant proportion of your role will involve providing patient care, support and education.

On a daily basis your role will involve:

• Patient face to face interviews and phone chats
• Collaborating with doctors and scientists coordinating care, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient.
• Providing instructions to patients for the self administration of IVF drugs
• Providing results to patients over the phone and support at any point required
• Maintaining accurate patient records, clinical data entry and general administration duties associated with the role
• Performing the Nurse Unit Manager role as part of a job share

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for this role, Fertility experience would be ideal however not essential, along with some kind of experience working as a leader or senior in a team. You will have strong clinical skills, but also strong people skills as large component of this role involves support and counselling. We are looking for empathetic Nurses, who can build rapport and provide genuine, authentic care to our patients. As this role is office based you will need also strong administration skills and technical competence - at Genea we work across a number of different IT systems which you will need to learn.
